Chain saw chaps with added protection. The lower portion is designed to completely encircle the calf and lower leg below the knee. The lower protective pad area is approx. 21" wide x 13.5" high and is secured by three straps for a sure fit. Protective pad overall length is approx. 30". Actual coverage depends on the build of the wearer. These chaps also feature a dual-height waistband for leg length adjustment and a tool pocket with an overlapping flap and snap closure to keep out debris. Durable Delrin quick-release buckles allow quick on and off and the smooth web straps are easy to adjust. The PVC-coated shell is water resistant and also resists snagging in underbrush. Protective material consists of a five layer pad, including polyester, polypropylene and aramid nylon blended fabric. The protective material is designed to give the wearer added reaction time should a moving chain come in contact with it. It does not prevent penetration by the saw chain. Available in one size only (fits most people). UL-classified leg protective garment in accordance with ANSI ASTM F1897 standard specification for leg protection for chain saw users(1998) 9F92 OR 8F67.
