The Jonsered CS 2166 has a new, clean-running engine, optimized to output more torque over a wider rpm range. The new engine design also adds a 20% increase in fuel efficiency, saving operators time and money.
The CS 2166 also has a new large-diameter top handle for greater operating comfort and control. Other features include a top-mounted decompression valve, side-access chain tension adjust, an easy-access snap lock air filter cover and Jonsered’s Turbo air pre-cleaning filtration system.
Classic Jonsered logging chain saw just got better
Following in the long tradition of Jonsered’s highly regarded 70cc saws, the new model CS 2172 was engineered to deliver the kind of performance and reliability that made its forerunners widely popular with professional loggers.
The new saw’s design and appearance is very similar to the model CS 2171 it replaces.
“Under the hood” however, is a remarkable difference; a new engine that delivers more power, yet provides up to 20% better fuel economy. Its flatter torque curve provides better low-end power in felling and bucking cuts, without sacrificing the fast chain speed and acceleration required for efficient limbing. The Clean Power™ engine meets emission standards everywhere in the world.
Additional features include a decompression valve, side-access chain tension adjuster, steel coil spring anti-vibration, inertia-activated chain brake and Jonsered’s Turbo air pre-cleaning filtration system. A deluxe version with heated handles will also be offered.
